Copolymer Coated Copper Tape
1. Application
Copolymer coated copper tape applies for medium and high voltage power cables as a shield/moisture barrier as a
moisture/ chemical barrier for cable core.
2. Composition
It consists of a copper tape coated on single side or double side with a special ethylene copolymer color-coded green.
The coating forms a strong moisture-resistant bond to the copper substrate that will not delaminate from contact with
the copper. The coatings also form strong polymeric bonds to zero halogen, polyethylene and chlorinated polyethylene
jacketing resins during the jacket extrusion process thereby allowing fabrication of “bonded jacket” or laminate sheath,
cables. The copper alloy is fully annealed which has high conductivity and easy fabrication characteristics.
3. Standard
YD/T 723.4-2007.
4. Packing
In roll, then pack into wooden case, the core material is paper/steel/plastic
